Explore Bath Spa city centre with two self-guided heritage walks with a treasure hunt theme. Discover Bath's "hidden treasures" whilst having a fun day out with family and friends!
Bath Spa is renowned for its hot spring baths - the city sits in the mouth of a long-dormant volcano, extinct for many millennia, but the thermal heat still makes for a nice, relaxing dip. It was once home to literary legend Jane Austen, but it’s also the city that inspired Mary Shelley to finish writing Frankenstein. The historic Saracen’s Head pub, visited by Charles Dickens in 1835, adds to Bath's charm, whilst its streets have featured prominently in Hollywood movies such as The Duchess, Les Miserables and Jane Austen’s Persuasion.

"We recently visited Bath and stumbled across the curious about walks on the Internet. I'm so glad I did as they were amazing!! My 2 girls aged 8 and 11 loved them as did my husband (who gets bored easily!). I love to sight see but find it's difficult to keep everyone interested but these walks did just that and we all thought they were brilliant. We are now going to download some more walks for our home town of London and see what we can discover and learn!!"
