Explore Leicester city centre with two self-guided heritage walks with a treasure hunt theme. Discover Leicester's "hidden treasures" whilst having a fun day out with family and friends!
Leicester is one of the oldest cities in the UK, going back over 2,000 years, and today it has the biggest outdoor, covered market in Europe and in 1961 had the largest Tesco in Europe. In the autumn it hosts the largest Diwali celebrations outside India and is the birthplace of modern standard English. Thomas Cook was from Leicester, and organised the first ever package tour in 1841… to Loughborough! King Richard III is buried there, and famous sons & daughters include Sir David Attenborough, Gok Wan and Englebert Humperdinck.

"This is a good un for the urban walker. I had two plays to watch in Leicester on the same day with a three hour gap in between to fill, so I obtained two of your walking schemes for Leicester for not a lot of money."
