Explore the fabulous Jephson Gardens – a beautiful formal Victorian park in the heart of the town, with flowers, trees, lake, tropical plants, wooden sculptures and a river. Next it’s up a beautiful boulevard lined with shops, a splendid Town Hall, and a hotel graced by Princess Victoria. Delight at white Regency-style houses with metal verandahs, before returning to Jephson Gardens, an oasis of tranquility and pleasure.

2. Jephson Gardens to Royal Pump Rooms - 1 mile / 1.6 kms
From the heart of Jephson Gardens you’ll descend to the river, past tropical glasshouses, into the Old Town with its parish church as large as a cathedral. Now it’s out past a former ‘palais de danse’, back over the river to the Pump Room Gardens where bands occasionally play. Pass more elegant Regency homes before returning to the Gardens alongside the celebrated Royal Pump Rooms and the charming River Leam.

Walk 1 has 21 clues & walk 2 has 14 - both with detailed directions to follow. There are interesting stories about important people, places & events along the way; detailed instructions on how to find a clue if you're stuck; and a comprehensive map with the routes marked on.
