Explore Lincoln city centre with two self-guided heritage walks with a treasure hunt theme. Discover Lincoln's "hidden treasures" whilst having a fun day out with family and friends!
Lincoln is possibly best known for its cathedral, once one of the tallest buildings in Britain until the spire blew off in a gale in 1549. High on the pillar of the Angel Choir sits the Lincoln Imp – said to have wreaked havoc within the cathedral until it was turned to stone by an angel! In 1915 the first fighting tank was invented here, known as Little Willie. Be careful as you walk around - Clark’s Dog, a malnourished hound which was owned by a criminal who was hanged, is now occasionally spotted lurking around the castle walls. You have been warned!
